The Georgia Singers Company is dedicated
to the mission of building character in youth,
through quality theatre arts education and musical productions.
Georgia Singers Company is a non-profit 501(c)3 after school youth theater program offering classes, camps and productions for students ages 8-18 years old. The company was formed in 2014 but the production team has been working together to produce shows through the school system since 2001. The summer Show Camp of 2014 produced an outstanding performance of Aladdin, Jr. in two weeks for the community!
The main mission of the Georgia Singers Company is to build character on and off the stage through dynamic classes, camp and shows. The Company is committed to providing excellent training in theater arts as well as producing professional Broadway-style musicals that are appropriate for families. We believe in pursuing the highest standards of quality in all that we do.
Georgia Singers Company offers two 10-week class sessions (fall and winter) of after school theater arts classes for students ages 8-18. There will be a variety of classes offered in drama, music, dance, production and specialty theater arts. Students ages 8-18 who are enrolled in class are eligible to audition for the musical production for the session that they are enrolled. Parents of the students in each production sign up to work on a production committee that works to construct sets, develop costuming, props and souvenirs as well as run the back stage and lobby areas. Students can also volunteer to work on a production crew or intern on the Artistic Team. Each production is the result of an amazing collaboration of directors, designers, students and parents!
Because Georgia Singers Company does not own facilities for classes and productions, the organization rents stages from local churches, schools and theaters in the Fayette County community. The Company currently holds rehearsals at First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City, 206 Willowbend Rd., Peachtree City, GA 30269.
